AARP Drivers Education Classes – The fall sessions still have plenty of spaces left for you to get updated on Driving Awareness. As of the date of publication, the sessions in Oct 11 & 13 have 16 seats left, Nov 15 & 17 is open with 24 seats, and Dec 13 & 15 is open with 24 seats… See Newsletter.

Fall Craft Fair – Friday, October 21 and Saturday October 22 from 10 AM to 4 PM, we will have a full house of over 35 crafters coming in with their wares for our Fall Craft Sale. We have diverse selection of lovingly made and hand-crafted items from sewn articles, knitting, crochet, woodworking, jewelry, greeting cards, stuffed animals, pet toys, Christmas and holiday fare and more

Senior Center Lunch Pick Up – MarionPolk Food Share has resumed lunch service Monday through Friday from 12:00 – 12:30 PM daily. Boxed lunches will be “Handed Out” in the parking lot. “Drivers are asked to remain in their cars”. There will be someone to greet you to take your order; two options will be available daily. For the present, no donations or fees apply. SSSC is not a Meals on Wheels distribution center. If you would like home delivery call 503-364-2856.

Exercise keeps you Healthy! – Exercise helps boost your immune system. Get out and walk, jog or join a health club. Exercise also helps if you feel depressed.

Meetings This Month

Crafters – It is wonderful to have friends and acquaintances gather together every Monday from noon to 2:00 to knit, crochet, and share experiences… See Newsletter.

Garden Club – Our garden meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month at noon. You may pick up a free lunch in the parking lot noon to 12:30. We’ll be
dining together, watching a garden CD (the Queen’s Garden), plus I will bring teas for us to have with our lunches… See Newsletter.

My Story Writing Group – Wednesdays, 10 AM – 12 Noon, Game Room

Canceled until further notice, no volunteers until we start up again.

We are on hold for now but usually it’s once a month on Saturday. We offer Pancakes, Homemade Biscuits and Gravy, Scrambled Eggs, Sausage or Ham, Orange Juice, Coffee and Tea. Join us for a fun community breakfast! Learn the intricacies of the dishwasher & flip over volunteering! We caught you dreaming about our fluffy pancakes. Don’t wait! To volunteer: Contact Nancy at the front desk, Thursday & Friday mornings or Ted, Thursday afternoons. A special thanks Meadow Creek Village Assisted Living Sponsors for January breakfast.
