Highlights from This Month’s Newsletter…
Due to Covid-19, Senior Center is closed, all events canceled.
Camile… Happy Anniversary South Salem Seniors. I believe that this March will be one year since we closed the doors to the Center. Hopefully, Daylight Savings, Saint Patrick’s Day and The First Day of Spring are all positive omens for our Center and all mankind. I cannot help but believe that some sunshine will give us all a lift. Our state has been caught up in a vortex of events this year. Not forgetting about the rest of the United States and of course the planet. Yet we grab a hold of something to believe in and hang on for dear life. See more in the Newsletter.
SSSC Freezing Rain February 2021 – Hopefully everybody has electricity by now. It will be a hard to forget that freezing rain that hit us so hard! The Center lost 3 trees in the side of fairway Ave.
Senior Center Lunch Pick Up Resumed – Marion-Polk Food Share has resumed lunch service Monday through Friday from 12:00 –1:00 PM daily. Boxed lunches will be “Handed Out” at the side of the building near the kitchen. “Drivers are asked to remain in their cars”. Kayla/Steve will greet you and take your orders; two option will be available daily. For the present no donations or fees apply… See Newsletter.
SSSC is not a Meals on Wheels distribution center. If you would like home delivery call 503-364-2856.
Exercise keeps you Healthy! … Exercise helps boost your immune system. Get out and walk, jog, join a health club. Exercise also helps if you feel depressed.
