NOTICE: Temporary Change in Center Hours – Effective July 1

We continue to face a significant shortage of front desk volunteers. Over the past several weeks, we have explored a number of options to maintain our current operating hours, including increased volunteer recruitment, or reorganizing schedules. Unfortunately, these efforts have not produced enough coverage to reliably staff the front desk each day.

Effective July 1, the Center’s public hours will be temporarily adjusted to Monday thru Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as a two-month trial during July and August. This change will make it much more manageable to keep the Center open five days a week while we continue recruiting and training additional volunteers.

We believe this is the most practical and effective solution available to address our immediate staffing shortage while continuing to provide reliable service to our members. Our goal is to stabilize operations now while we actively build our volunteer base so we can evaluate returning to longer hours in the future.
